The ISF 5K Run and Brunch, The Virtual Edition
Make a difference today in a child's life ... Register. Team Build. Fundraise. Run.
The 13th Annual Isabella Santos Foundation 5k for Kids Cancer Race is going VIRTUAL.
The event takes place when and where you want, but your support still makes a difference!
Each year, we have been able to bring thousands together in honor of Isabella Santos. This was her day... and this is still her race. This year may look a bit different, but no doubt we still plan to unite together and make an impact to help kids fighting cancer today. Regardless of present circumstances, we can't stop fighting and won't. The event will go on and we hope you will help us make it a success and make Isabella proud.
So, What is "The Virtual Edition?"
Sports are cancelled, school is cancelled, races are cancelled, but cancer is not. We have to keep fighting. Our Virtual Edition means that although we won't gather together in person, we will still unite to make an impact. We will miss seeing the familiar faces of thousands of people working together to beat cancer, but we can't take that risk. So we ask you to run/walk your 5K distance in honor of Isabella, when and where you want. We hope you will plan to do it on the morning of September 26th, 2020, so that we can all feel inspired at the same time. BUT, if that doesn't work for you, you can do it when and where works best for you. Cancer doesn't stop and neither will we.
We Can't Stop. We Won't Stop.
The Isabella Santos Foundation (ISF) was founded in honor of Isabella who lost her battle against neuroblastoma in 2012. ISF works to improve rare pediatric cancer treatment options in an effort to improve the survival rate of kids with cancer. ISF has partnered with Levine Children’s Hospital to establish the Isabella Santos Foundation Rare and Solid Tumor Program. The program will oversee care for all solid tumors, rare tumors, MIBG therapy and all related clinical and scientific research at LCH. It was Isabella's dream to BEAT CANCER, GROW HAIR, and LIVE HER DREAMS. Although research and advanced treatments didn't come in time for her dreams to come true, her legacy is pushing us to give others a fighting chance against rare pediatric cancer. Over the course of 12 years, ISF has funded nearly $4 million toward expanding the scope of research and treatment, and supporting families dealing with cancer in a variety of ways.
What’s ‘The Brunch Club’?
Even though we are unable to have our Run and Brunch together this year- that won’t take the fun out of brunch! We still have something to celebrate as we help children fighting cancer. After you complete your own Walk/Run 5k, we want to encourage you to support a local restaurant for your favorite take out meal or host brunch yourself! This year more than ever, we need to come together as a community and support one another.
To sweeten the deal, we have also added a fundraising incentive program called “THE BRUNCH CLUB”. Whether you raise $250, $2500 or $5000, we have something special for you to help step up your brunch game. Mimosas, cooking tools and apron, gift cards for your brunch and everything you need to make the perfect Bloody Mary, we got you covered.
